The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

4. L20 Ultra
