The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop rotates at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home, identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to remember that it carries periodic expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three month.

This robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. This includes a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan map, which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to protect specific areas of your home from being cleaned with a mop.

secret info  found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect many of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has several floors.  best rated robot vacuum  is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a number of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
